![]() Interesting, this is actually the first time I've heard this mentioned. Running Logics Drummer through it provides quite some good fun. And I'll keep using it as my main tool for "electro-percussive side dishes" as long as possible. Personally, I thought I would just have to update to Battery 4 (or Komplete 12) when I finally made the leap from OSX Snow Leopard to High Sierra some weeks ago - but low and behold, after some initial problems I managed to install Battery 3. ![]() In addition, now that Battery is more or less another Kontakt "wrapper", how can it be that Kontakt has a decent slicer (and MIDI file extractor, if you want), but their dedicated drum sampler hasn't? That's pretty "meh", if you ask me. Hated that with each and every version of Kontakt - just as many folks do. For example, with Battery 2, replacing a sample and previewing the new one in context opened a typical OS based file browser (Explorer on Windows, Finder on OSX), which was resizeable, offered some file sorting options (at least under Windows) and was tons more useful than that dreaded thing NI calls a file browser. ![]() I think part of the problem might be that Battery 4 is based on Kontakt code whereas Battery 3 was coded on its own.Īnd there's even areas where Battery 2 is better than either 3 or 4. It is possible that Battery 3 was better than 4Yes. ![]()
